The Liffey Linear Park / Town Park
The town of Newbridge was built around the crossing point on the River Liffey. The river, which rises in the Sally Gap flows for most of its 92 miles through Co. Kildare. The Liffey Linear Park / Town Park is in the ownership of Droichead Nua Town Council.
The Liffey Linear Park extends along the full length of the River Liffey, and the area under management in Newbridge area is defined is the area enclosed from the Athgarvan Road entrance, through the area known as "The Strand", the "Watering Gates", the Liffey Bridge (Droichead Conlaoch), and along the riverbanks to the Dominican College.
