The Liffeyside Amenity Area / Town Park

The town of Newbridge was built around the crossing point on the River Liffey. The river, which rises in the Sally Gap flows for most of its 92 miles through Co. Kildare. The Liffeyside Amenity Area / Town Park is in the ownership of the Town Council.

The Liffeyside Amenity Area / Town Park is the area enclosed from the Athgarvan Road entrance, through the area known as "The Strand", the "Watering Gates", the Liffey Bridge (Droichead Conlaoch), and along the riverbanks to the Dominican College.
